Walk This Way to Affiliate Commissions
If you want to make more money and more commissions this week, then walk this way. You won’t have too far to walk though, because in just three short steps you should have your affiliate marketing goal in sight.
It’s Not Complicated
These steps are not complicated (after all, most of us internet marketers are just regular guys). You will hear other marketers refer to these steps, you will have heard me refer to them before, and you will hear me refer to them again and again.
If It Ain’t Broke
The reason we keep referring to these steps is that they work. A chef doesn’t change the way he cooks his signature dish if his diners love it. An artist doesn’t decide to throw out the rule book when he has worked out exactly how to paint a masterpiece. Likewise in affiliate marketing, when our goal is to bank commissions on a regular business, we follow a blueprint which works, if we put it into practice.
Three Simple Steps
- The first step is to find out which products affiliates are making money from at the moment. Basically, you need to follow the money.
- The next step is to build an affiliate webpage where you can promote these products.
- Finally, you need to send as much traffic as you can to your affiliate page, site or blog.
A Launch Date
If you do a simple Google search for “affiliate marketing launches”, you will find a number of sites where you can learn about upcoming launches. This method is sometimes known as “launch jacking” because you are benefitting from the buzz and momentum surrounding a current or future launch. Sites like Muncheye have launches simply divided into “big launches” and “all launches”. The “big launches” are from reputable sellers and are probably the best place to start in order to gain affiliate sales.
Build, Host, Promote
When building your affiliate page you could use a free website builder like Wix or Weebly or a free blogging platform like Blogger. Another option and probably the preferred route is to register a domain name and build a simple WordPress site so that you can either review one product or compare a number of products.
Directing Traffic
Traffic can be paid or organic, depending on your time and budget. If you are going down the paid route, Facebook ads are a good option as you can laser target your preferred customer type. Be sure to split test a couple of ads and start off with a low budget. Organic traffic can be helped along with articles, blog posts, review videos and social media posts. Finally, if you have built up an email list of interested prospects or customers, this should be one of your best traffic sources.
